I noticed that Bellmore FD's Repeater Freq is 453.7875 DPL 466, my question is what is their Fireground Freq since I noticed I don't have it? In addition, I have 153.8300 PL 167.9 as Merrick FD's Fireground Freq, do they happen to have a Repeater Frequency as well?

NCFD Tac 1 (Fireground) 46.22 None NCFD Tac 2 (Fireground 2) 46.30 None
who uses these, and what do they use them for? all depts have their own dedicated Fireground freq. . . so why use these for fireground?

Depts that might now have their own freqs to use for fireground can use the "county" low band fireground freqs if they wish. I dont know what depts do, years ago before depts had 43 of their own freqs, 46.22 and 46.30 were used often for F/G

Did North Mass change thier primary channel with in the last few weeks?? 453.4125 is where they are currently toning out, and I can hear dispatch fine. I have problems hearing the trucks some times. It almost sounds like the repeater input is going deaf..
I didn't know if they decided to work simplex from truck to house, but repeat house to truck??
Thanks!

Apparently you're transmitting a little too strong.... it's effecting your use of the english language.

North massapequa uses a setup similar to a gr300 repeaters two gm300 tied together for main operations on the tower out of station 2. They sound crappy for two reasons every1 and there mother has a radio in north mass and peope step all over each other, and they need a real repeater such like quantar. The only back up they have as of now is a simplex system covers MOST of the district

FYI: Bellmore-Merrick EMS now gets toned out & operates on 460.1750 DPL 315. In addition, looks like East Rockaway FD is utilizing 460.2125 DPL 423 as their temporary Rptr freq w/ FireCom since I heard them today. FireCom advised ERFD chief that it'll be up on the console until Tues/Wed.

The Oyster Bay fire companies use 2 f/g channels, as follows:
460.5500 PL 206.5 REPEATER (Primary) 460.6375 PL 206.5 SIMPLEX (Secondary)
Note the PL change from the list above.

As far as I know, PWFD hi-band is either 153.83 or 153.77. It's in some of the MLFD hi-band radios (also VHF hi) as ch. 2 along with our hi-band, which is 154.025

While we're on the subject - I get PWFD chiefs clear as day on 46.12 - they must have made some changes to their car set ups w/i the last year or so.

PWFD can be heard using the f/g channel which listed on the updated list I had posted on the Live Nassau Fire/EMS Feed section w/ the respective PL Tone. Chiefs are also heard using the 800mHz EDACS trunked system as well along w/ M-LFD Chiefs.

PWFD Chiefs have a repeater in their cars, they can call fire com on high band the car turns it in to low band and sends it out with more power.

I dont know if Port Wash uses them, but there are truck/vehicle repeaters (some called pyramids) that take a VHF or UHF signal from a firefighter or chiefs portable and through the repeater can be output on a low band frequency. Alot of dept that still use low band to talk to Firecom or other dispatcher do this. Like Merrick talking to North Bellmore Dispatch (atleast they used to!)
