Good point Loo. I don't really see anywhere in the UFA letter that the vollies are inferior or any bashing. I think they are making a point tha bloomberg keeps cutting everything back. You would think after 9/11 the beancounters would help them anyway they can, ie. Pay raise instead of pay cut, opening new houses instead of closing them, and 5 man engines. The drill to FDNY is like us taking NIMS, everyone wants that federal money.

The drill went well. We had no problems. The FDNY guys treated us cordially, and thanked us for participating. There were 2 BC's on hand at The Rock, and they both had good things to say about OBFD and ASFC. Both OB companies did a great job together. Roof got vented, door got forced, hoselines got advanced, victims got rescued, the fire got put out. Seems like, paid or volly, the end result is all the same, now isn't it?
