Can we change the layout of the site? Maybe add a BS Hot Jobs page so for those of us who want to only see real "Hot Jobs" can do so without the other clutter.

This has been said in the past, and should be a relatively easy thing to do... A section for Hot Jobs and Tool Jobs

The moderators have been running back and forth with this idea. We are trying to implement something soon. We also were just gonna change the rules about hot jobs and only post working fires, nothing else.
Lets here some other opinions

Hey Dispatch, they have more than 1 neighboring "company" in the 5th... in the same district I might add. Some "companies" don't consider these as hot jobs.

I believe Hempstead is around 17 or 18 and Elmont just had another 1 today I think they are around 13 for the year.

Does that include the 2 in bayville? Actually a 10 was only transmitted for one of them

Post by Thunderfoot on Oct 1, 2005 12:12:26 GMT -5
As of the end of September
Hempstead - 20 Elmont - 13 Valley Stream - 10 Freeport - 9 Long Beach - 9 Manhassett Lakeville - 8 Woodmere - 7 Lynbrook - 7 Syosset - 7 Roosevelt - 7 Westbury - 7
Battalions
7th - 51 2nd - 29 3rd - 27 6th - 25 5th - 21 8th - 18 9th - 18 4th - 17 1st - 10
(once again since everyone's definition of a "job" is a little different, including weather a 10 was transmitted vs just a working fire, some numbers could be slightly off, so don't shoot the messenger...lol)

HICKSVILLE HAS HAD A SLOW YEAR ALSO TO ADD TO THE THING ABOUT JOBS.... DO YOU GUYS REALLY THINK A ROOM AND CONTENTS FIRE CLASSIFYS AS A SIG 10?? I DON`T KNOW ABOUT YOU BUT I ALWAYS THOUGHT A SIG 10 WAS WHEN YOU PULLED UP AND THERE IS FIRE OUT ALL WINDOWS ON ARRIVAL... NOT A MATTRESS OR A DRESSER AND SUCH....

Oceanside's only had 5. Blew our load early in the year-- 1 in April, 3 in May (plus one non-10 working fire), 1 in July.
