I try to listen to both Great Neck Fire Co's all the time but I can barely pick them up on their operations channels from Roslyn even with a roofmount antenna.
820's - 154.3175 DPL 466 830's - 155.9325 DPL 466
Do either fire co's have another frequency they use like a repeater channel or something where it's easier to hear them from a further distance? In addition do either co's use any other VHF frequency other than the ones above for fireground, truck to truck, portables, or chief to chief? Do they utilize the 800mhz for the chief's like M-LFD does?

The M-LFD Chiefs do not use 800MHz portables. They have 800MHz portables in their cars, but do not use them on a regular basis, except for private convos with each other.
