Is anyone aware if Malverne EMS is a part of the Malverne FD or it's its own entity & if not, what frequency do they get toned out & operate on? I don't recall hearing FireCom ever bang out Malverne FD for a Signal 9 on 46.10 for the exception of MVA's..........

They are separate from the cops. They do work on 154.115. They are not very active, nor are they staffed / in service most of the time.

I think they actually operate on the Malverne Police Dept's frequency, (155.13/PL 131.8) but I'm told Firecom can alert them on 154.115 and they can talk to Firecom on that freq. also.

I heard that when they go in service, someone comes takes the ambulance home with them, then responds from home with the bus and hopes other people show up....Is this true?

Wow... that really made a difference. Just as much as sending them to a bad address....
