Hi guys Can anyone help me out with this? I have a Uniden Br330t on the way and it has this fire tone out feature.I cant find tones anywhere except www.nf2g.com/scannist/tones_main.htmlThere is nothing for Long Island yet and all of you great people who volunteer have pagers and scanners so I figured this would be a great place to ask. I am an East Farmingdale resident so of course I am looking for tone info on 45.32 but also Melville Plainview Hicksville Bethpage Farmingdale South Farmingdale And also does anyone here have the Uniden Br330t and willing to share files?? Well I look forward to any responses Thank you Dave

tone info is not usually published...
you can try to open a pager of a member of each of those dept.s and get the info that way, but otherwise you should try using the scanner's tone search to find the info.
luckily for you each of those dept.s has their own frequ. and they are as follows...
Plainview 477.1625 pl 114.8 Melville 471.2875 pl 100.0 E-Farm 45.32 pl 162.2 Bethpage 453.925 DPL 072 Hicksville 453.8375 pl 127.3 Farm 458.8 pl 114.8 S-Farm 453.8875 pl 67.0
good luck..

The scanners tone search is for the PL or DPL tones not the tones that activate a members pager. Nick

I was going to write that
From what I understand the dispatchers can tone out for a 16 and not have every pager go off, just the emts pagers.I think there are different tones for different calls like a fire,a rescue.a general alarm. That is why I am attempting to get a list going so people with these fire tone out scanners can filter the calls being dispatched.I dont like hearing 20 signal 16's everyday....

You will probably still here them during the day since *most* (not all) departments are all general alarms during the day and don't go to Company/squad tones till after 7pm (avg). For this list you are compiling, Good luck btw, you will need to get both tones. There is an a-tone and a b-tone. You will also need to know in what order they are dropped by the computer to set off the pagers. This is a LARGE task you are undertaking and I don't know many dispatchers, the person(s) you will most likely be asking for this info, who know their district tone frequency. I was in the radio business for a few years programing these things and it was like pulling teeth to get the info. They had to get the books for the console and blow the dust off of them...... I guess the bottom line is... Unless you have a cradle and motorola minitor software to read the pagers in your local dept your pretty much shit outta luck bro...... But run with it. I'd be interested to find out who actually knows the info.

I know people on Long Island are quiet about this kind of info. At NF2G Scannist Pages ther is a section for tones. nf2g.com/scannist/index.html He has a list going and directions how to get the info (for those who own minitor pagers)from the label on the outside or the reeds on the inside and with the alerting freq and the info off the reeds he has a chart to figure tones out.. If anyone wants to email me info my address is now shown...If anyone wants to deal with him the info is on his page Listen I know people are skeptical about certain things and I do understand ,and the only reason I attempting to gain this info is to utilize the full capability's of the br330t..

Fire Tone-Out Introduction Your scanner can be set to respond to fire tone-outs that use standard two-tone sequential paging, short one-tone paging, and long group tone paging. You can save up to 10 settings. When you select a setting in standby mode, the scanner also monitors for any other setting that uses the same transmit frequency, modulation, and attentuation settings. You need tone-out setup information from the agency you wish to monitor.Check with your local agency or on-line resources. Uniden America Corporation has no information regarding local tone-out systems. and here Official Fire Tone-Out Discussion www.radioreference.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17245
