Hi All:
There was an article in the local paper ( The Beacon) about a new frequency in the town of Islip that will "provide local emergency responders and town personnel with a reliable way to communicate with each other during emergency incidents, including hurricanes" Anyone know what this might be?

Nothing special. They just gave certain folks access to an existing townwide repeater channel.

Also, That article (press release) that was floating around was complete BS. The channel has been in use for over 5 years actively, and 10+ years prior.
