Anyone know what frequencies East Hampton town uses to tone out departments for calls? Are they still using 46.46? I know they use the EHT trunked system for communications but i dont hear any activations when im out there working and monitoring......
Thanks......

I show them using no PL or DCS for 453.425. They operate in CSQ. Hence why I hear the NYS Thruway on this freq, and their on it all the time!

Don't some newer uniden radios have a "PL" block option? You set the "PL" you do not want to recieve to eleminate that problem?

That's not such a new option. I think it started with the 780 series about 5 years ago.

Joe,
All depts have their own talkgroup/ID on the East Hamp 800 system that they give 2's, 21's etc to East Hamp Dispatch.
9904 - Fire Chiefs 9936 - Fire Marshall 9680 - East Hampton Fire Department 9776 - Amagansett Fire Department 9712 - Montauk Fire Department 9744 - Springs Fire Department 9808 - Bridgehampton Fire Department 9840 - Sag Harbor Fire Department 9872 - General Fire Communications 9648 - E. M. S.
All depts dispatched by East Hamp are toned out on 453.425 except Bridgehampton which uses 154.190

So... after activation on 453.425 they swith to the EHT trunked system. and then use their "individual" fleet channel ? or do they use the "general communnications" fleet channel?
I hate to be such a loser but im out there alot and cant seem to find all the action on my scanner like I can everywhere else....

I was told the reason for no 'PL' on the dispatch freq. is because they were having a problem opening up pagers when they had a 'pl'. Once they went to csq, it went away.

They set up a nice radio system for that divison. I don't know why Bridgehampton went their own way on Vhf. Depts on the south fork have always done whats best & what works for them out there, realizing that waiting for the county to get their act together was a joke. They have total inter-op with all FD's, Ems, PD and public works.
They simulcast 453.425 tone outs over 4 or 5 towers from Noyack to Montauk, which is nice getting paged pretty much anywhere on the south fork. I heard their 800 works pretty well also. My friend said its such an improvement from low band.
Off the topic, anyone know how the coverage is on the south fork with the County 800mhz system?
