So now that we hear Med Com [155.415] simulcasting on Med Command West [TG-2448], are the stand alone rescue squads migrating over to the TRS for all of their comms?

i don't exactly know what that radio lingo means... but i do know as of monday at noon medcom is switching over to 800 mhz and that is where we will now be communicating with them.

IDK what the entire county is doing, but all ambulance co's in Town of Islip have been using Medcom West on the 800 for about a month now (simulcasted with Medcom 3, 154.415) Only the Hauppauge tower receiver is connected to the simulcast, so whatever that site picks up on 154.415, is what you're going to hear on 800. Might not pick up the east end and other areas too well.

Well it would seam to make sence to go to a "one radio" operation. Keep that hodge-podge of VHF and UHF radios for the squads own non-emergency bussiness.

I agree. I'd like to see everybody (PD, FD, Ems) on the same county system.
Keep paging on Vhf, all ops on trunked ID's, then all fire ground tac channels for on scene ops.
Be nice to see a 400mhz system or 500 like Nassau is doing, but as of right now - 800 it is.
