What part of Ronkonkoma? Technically there are two districts in Ronkonkoma, Lakeland and Ronkonkoma Fire Dept. Ronkonkoma covers the Brookhaven area (known as Lake Ronkonkoma) and Lakeland covers the Islip area (which is just known as Ronkonkoma). Actually its quite wierd but is seperated by township. Both departments run EMS.

OK HERE IS THE DEAL. I HAD 8 YRS IN LYNBROOK AND MOVED TO THE RONKONKOMA FIRE DISTRICT. THEY ONLY TAKE NEW MEMBERS IN JANUARY. YOU WILL BE A PROBATIONARY FIREFIGHTER FOR 1 YR. AND WEAR THE PUMKIN SHIELD. YOU WILL ALSO NEED TO ATTEND THERE IN HOUSE CLASSES. THEY WILL TAKE YOUR NASSAU COUNTY FIRE CERTIFICATION. BUT YOU WILL STILL NEED TO ATTEND THERE CLASSES. THEY USE HIGH PRESSURE FOG AS THERE FIRST LINE OF ATTACK. THE PERCENTAGE IS AT A PROBATIONARY MEMBER, BUT I DO NOT REMEMBER WHAT IT IS. GOOD LUCK. ANYMORE QUESTIONS LET ME KNOW.
