This is a clone of the post on the Nassau portion of the board. Again this is not meant to bash anyone so please refrain from doing that. Remember it's a brotherhood! From Nassau Board: "lets say you have a fire and can pick any companies from Suffolk to operate at it ( response time and location do not play a factor here) what engine companies, truck companies and hvy rescue companies would you want at your fire if you had a choice. just by going on hear say or reputation. this isnt meant to bash anyone just lets see who is respected in the county as an aggressive or a good company. we all know you can pick out the fdny companies lets see if we can do it with the county companies." Again this is just to see what peoples preference is and please no bashing anyone!

ENGINE: Westhampton Beach TRUCK: Hampton Bays RIT/FAST: Hampton Bays MVA/HEAVY RESCUE: East Quogue TECH RESCUE: East Quogue/Hampton Bays BRUSH FIRE: Eastport/Westhampton Beach WATER RESCUE: Eastport/Hampton Bays/North Sea(stacked dive teams HAZ MAT: BNL/Southampton(14 or more Haz Mat Techs) Probably not all the situations but these are the companies I would like to/have worked with before. All the above listed companies don't freelance or do any of the cowboy bull$hit. They train hard and get the job done right without asking questions and we work well with them.

As far as I knew, they were just starting to get a dive team together, and I didnt think they had a boat.

I said nothing of the sort. 1651 reffered to Bay Shore as having a water rescue group. Whereas i stated we do not do water rescue, therefore could care less. However, Bay Shore does have a team, in most sense of the word, do not have a boat, but drill with surrounding departments that do. hope that claryfies any misconceptions regarding the afore mentioned posts. Good day, sir

My company only acts as support to the Lindy Dive team so I am not completely familiar with who and what we operate with. In hindsight I should have left water resq off my breakdown. I apologize for any misunderstanding.
