Welcome to the board NozzleNut.
Manorville is the biggest in Suffolk and I would have to say the biggest on Long Island. It is not the biggest in the state but it has to be in the top ten. Manorville's web site says they cover 62 square miles. That is huge for down here.
Stay Safe

They might be the largest Fire District in New York, but i'm sure their not the largest Fire Protection District in New York. Many upstate departments outside of metropolitan areas are not districts, they are Fire Protection Districts and cover much much larger areas. One that I can think of is near Cooperstown and covers 80 Square miles. Its all farmland! They operate on $70,000 a year and run less then 300 calls too

For the people who arent too familiar with the town of Brentwood. The Brentwood Fire Dept has 5 stations and a 6th building that is under construction for i believe district vehicles. The town of Brentwood also has Brentwood Legion Ambulance and also The East Brentwood F.D.
All three departments are seperate from one another but located in the same town. And often mutual-aid each other when the need arises.

Franklin Sq & MUNSON FD protects G-city South.... That's where the '& MUNSON' comes from.... -STJ Yes There is no Garden City South FD. it's under FS&M. Same with Herricks and Manhasset Hills. It's under Garden City Park FD And did you know Herricks, Manhasset Hills, New Hyde Park and Garden City Park all have the same zip code as 11040

Herrick doesn't really exist it is the name of a road and a school district , it is actually New Hyde Park (11040)

I know for sure that Roslyn covers the most towns or municipalities w/in their district being 10:
Brookville (part of it - rest by East Norwich & Jericho) East Hills Flower Hill (part of it - Port Washington has other half) Greenvale (majority of it - Glenwood has small portion) North Hills (small portion - mostly covered by M-LFD) Old Westbury (part of it - Westbury has the other half) Roslyn Roslyn Estates Roslyn Harbor (part of it - Glenwood has the other half) Roslyn Heights (part of it - Albertson has the other half)

Not sure where you got your data, but Port Washington is 10.7, not 15.2. Port Washington also isn't a district (nor is Roslyn), they're Fire Protection districts which are different than Fire districts. Nassau County: 1. Syosset Fire District - 17.7 Sq Miles 2. Wantagh Fire District - 17.3 Sq Miles 4. Roslyn Fire District - 17.1 Sq Miles 3. Manhasset-Lakeville Fire District - 16.4 Sq Miles 4. Port Washington Fire District - 15.2

Locust Valley's area is also pretty large.......and Elmont has 7 stations as well.....7 stations for port washington counts 2 buildings with only ambulances responding form it. And up untill a month or so ago the HQ building was only offices...it used to be the primary location for the ambulances before the fire medic building was built. They have since put an ambulance back there for response.
