Only a matter of time before it all comes to an end, and we'll only have ourselves to blame.

Here are a few things that will end up hurting the vol fd's, even I roll my eyes at. Imagine what the public thinks. I wont mention what district it is: -7 stations for a 2 sq mile district -water rescue team & truck for a dist with no water -more vehicles than most big cities -taxpayers paying for stations that house no reponse apparatus -a dist that buys a huge ladder (to keep up with the jone's) that cant fit down most streets in their dist -3 ladder trucks for 1 district -a district that got rid of a 1999 huge heavy rescue because it wasnt new, I mean "big enough"! -chiefs that have eddie bauer edition suv's with custom american racing rims and oversized tires -dept that has a huge new command unit, that they prob will never really use (mean while, the county has one for emergency use) this was grant money that could have been used elsewhere (like a rural upstate dept that runs out of a pre-fab shack with a 1970's pumper 1st due) thanks for letting me vent!!!
