2 ambulances for MLFD, one stored in co3's house in thomaston, the other in co1 in manhasset. im not counting the thomaston bus tho beacause technically, manhasset-lakeville's area is not considered "the great neck fire protection zone."

The M-LFD covers a great deal of Great Neck: Lake Success, Thomaston, University Gardens, Russel Gardens, The Uplands, The GN Terrace and Spinney Hill. And FYI 07FIRE, the M-LFD is described as covering the areas of Great Neck, Manhasset and North New Hyde Park. When I tell people where I am a member, I tell them my firehouse is in and protects Great Neck.

"Great Neck fire protection zone" what is that? is there some entity called the Great Neck fire protection zone? are you thinking of the Great Neck Fire Protection District, a political entity? Search the forums for fire protection district, I believe you will learn a lot from it. GN Alerts and Vigilants are contracted by the Town of North Hempstead to cover the Great Neck Fire Protection District, while MLFD covers portions of Great Neck, the area it covers is not part of the GNFPD, as it is run by an independent fire/water district. Please check your facts, gentlemen. You will come off sounding much more intelligent as opposed to the usual ramblings found here.

sorry, i guess im wrong. i thought that manhasset-lakevilles area was called something else, even though part of the area they cover is great neck; one of those meaningless technicalities.
