Haven't seen the pict but I had also heard it was going to be an 81' KME midmount - the old Mack CF had a pump on it - I am curious as to whether the new one does too?

In the Fire News photo the new one appears to have a pump on it. What a shame for North Bellmore to go from a Mack to a piece of crap.

There is also a great picture of some of the last Mack tower ladders left in service in Nassau County in Fire News

the remount was looked into but our rig is 2x as old as bethpages ladder...plus we really didnt have much say in what was purchased...the powers that control the purse strings made that call...but hey...its bigger than what we got...and yes it will fit down some of the tight streets...we took it for a test drive...shorter wheel base
