BE ADVISED- as in "units responding be advised blah blah blah" If you're telling me, I'm being advised. There's no need to say it.
AT THIS TIME- as in "Chief at this time you have the following units responding" good thing they say at this time, 'cause I bet the chiefs wanted to know who would be responding tomorrow or next week.

I hate those also how about
ALL UNITS 13 WHEN SECURE- because if you did not say that then the units would just go home and leave their tools and hose at the scene.

By far, the most useless transmissions have to be the individual units telling firecom or their base that they are 13. If the officer in charge already transmitted a 13 then everyone shut up and go home.

What about when base is transmitting to a unit and the unit responds, "read direct!" hmmm how else would you read it?

How about putting units on a 13 before you even get there? or better yet, giving 13's when you not even in the district...

Nothing showing at a C.O. alarm or a Smell of gas in the area.

But one of my all time favorite radio transmissions is, "Chief we have an officer, 3 men and no driver. Do you want us to respond?" Or "Chief can you repeat that last transmission, I was in the bathroom."

Hey "Tiger"---you should be all too familiar with that, being from station 3 and all. You've got one door at the house and your a**hole cronies are always on the radio asking for "signal 5 bay 3"

Alright people, easy does it. Either there are too many guys here from the Heights "brothers on the hill" (Highlands) or what's every1's problem with Roslyn Rescue FD. Yes 565 is a quint and yes sometimes 565 gives 21'a as Ladder 565 but I've never heard "Ladder 565 is 22 on a hydrant" And certain ppl in here shud know who the reigning champs are in giving Signal 5's for every piece of apparatus in their HQ's from back in the day...eh hem, highlands...LOL sorry i had a sore throat

How about when a unit is tryin to call a chief by sayin "00, 6-alpha" (for example) What the hell! Is it that hard to say the chief's entire number & their unit #? For all you know it could be 856 tryin to call 8500 when its really 566 calling 5600 LOL

Tiger: As you say, you are from Roslyn...now to my knowledge in Roslyn you have a high band frequency that only the roslyn fire companies are on....if a unit officer "6-alpha" is calling "00" im presuming this is on high band unless members carry low band portables around. So therefore the only person "6 alpha " could be is the unit officer of the truck in your dept ending in the digit 6.... right?
