alright so i think i figured out how to get around this. If you are using Internet Explorer right mouse click the image and click on properties. This will pop-up with a window displaying the image address. Copy and paste this into your bar and hit enter. You will See just the image. Now if you go back the photo will appear on the page. The only problem is you have to do it for each photo.

Taz, thats a 75 stick right? And this is replacing North Massapequa's tower ladder correct?

Post by Taz on Oct 28, 2006 9:21:56 GMT -5
yea its a 75', they felt a 100' wouldnt fit down the streets of Straight Path...I guess you could say its replacing the TL...Mt Sinai bought it from us back in the spring, crack boom and all....but it is also replacing our main engine....its the dreaded Q word. The scope barely got out, this will be a first due rig I believe it has 4 crosslays (2: 200' of 1 3/4, 1: 600' 2 1/2, & then 2 1/2 (300') reduced to 1 3/4(300')) with the 5" sidestacker set up, and a double trashline each a 100' of 1 3/4. My LT also got some shots of RES1CUE...trying to get a few...he said it was all done...they even let him pose in it...he was like when am I going to have the chance might as well this is with the new ladder sign superimposed

Saw something a little different this morning, I saw a SCPD ESU truck but on a Chevy Medium Duty chassis with a body similar but a little bit larger to NYPD ESU, guess this is the new style they are going with, its also the first ESU truck Ive scene with strobe lightbars

It's finally in. Was delievered from Pierce to Firematic Thursday, and was brought to our firehouse to go over before tools and stuff are mounted. This is the best I could do since I couldn't pull it out. Will see if I can get better pics down the road. Ladders 75 aerial, 24' & 35' ext, (2) 16' Roof Ladders, 10' Attic, 1 Little Giant Hooks Tubes for 6 hooks of various lengths stored with the ladders, plus there will most likely be 4 tubes for 6' hooks mounted in the crosslays, as well as at least one on the ladder Tank and Pump Size (2000 GPM Single Stage, 400 Gallons) 2 trashlines of 100' each (there are 2 troughs) (2) 200' of 1 3/4" preconnect crosslay 600' of 2 1/2" deadbed crosslay 300' of 2 1/2" reduced to 300' of 1 3/4" deadbed crosslay

very nice, is this rig gonna be used also as the RIT truck for you guys ??

Post by Taz on Nov 19, 2006 7:38:24 GMT -5
not sure, it might depend on what the requesting department wants I guess. Not that they ever call us but Brentwood would require the RIT/FAST vehicle to be an aerial. As of now we send our rescue-pumper, which carries a full compliment of truck tools, the hurst tool etc. From Pierce's new delievery section in the aerial section added week of 12/4

Looks like some thought was actually put into designing this rig. Unlike some other trucks around here. I don't think I've ever seen a dead bed cross lay. Very interesting....
